The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce and the Aberdeen Area League of Women Voters will be hosting a Legislative Candidate Forum on Saturday, May 14th in the Kessler’s Champions Club at the NSU Barnett Center.
- 9:00 am: District 3 Candidates including for Senate: Al Novstrup and Rachel Dix; House: Kaleb Weis, Carl Perry, Brandei Schaefbauer, Emily Meier, and Rick Rylance
- 10:30 am – District 1 Candidates including for Senate: Michael Rohl, Susan Wismer, and Joe Donnell; House: Logan Manhart, Tamara St. John, and Steven McCleerey
- 12:00 pm – District 23 Candidates including for Senate: Bryan Breitling and Spencer Gosch; House: Gregory Brooks, James Wangsness, Scott Moore, and Brandon Black
All forums are free and open to the public. Candidates will each have the opportunity to make opening remarks, address submitted questions from attendees, and make closing remarks. Dakota Broadcasting will also be streaming the forums live on their website for those unable to attend in person at dakotabroadcasting.com.
The election for Brown County Commission, Aberdeen City Council, the Aberdeen School District and the SD Legislative Primary will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 with absentee voting beginning on April 22, 2022.
