The Ambassadors join Dakota Outdoor Living
at their grand opening event

Ag Committee — Establishes communication between the business community and the rural agricultural community; and increase education and promote interest and understanding of the agricultural community. The Ag Committee meets the second Friday of the month at noon at the SDSU Regional Extension Office.

Ambassadors — The Ambassadors are the public relations arm of the Chamber and attend all ribbon cuttings, new business openings, ground breakings and business relocations (Committee selection done on a nomination basis). The Ambassadors meet the second Tuesday of every month at noon, but the schedule varies based on business needs.

Workforce & Education Committee — The committee implements projects that partner the business community and educational institutions together to foster cooperation and interaction between business and education to ensure needs are being met. The Workforce & Education committee meets the third Wednesday of every other month at 3:30 pm at the Chamber.

Diplomats — The Diplomats strengthen membership by recruiting new members, visiting current members, and implementing retention strategies. (Committee selection is done on a nomination basis). The Diplomats meet the second Thursday of every month at 3:30 pm.

Government Affairs Committee — The committee strengthens the communication between the community and government entities; and serves as the catalyst for forums, panels, town meetings, etc. The Committee meets the first Thursday of every other month at noon at the Ramada Inn.

Health & Wellness Committee — Works to implement projects that partner the business community and healthcare institutions and programs together. The Health and Wellness committee meets the first Wednesday of every other month. Locations vary. The committee produces a community health and wellness directory available as a magazine directory and searchable online at

Military/Veterans Committee — The Military/Veterans committee’s mission is to promote a positive working relationship among the community, employers and area military and veterans groups while heightening awareness of the military and veteran presence in the community. The group meets the first Tuesday of every other month at noon at the National Guard Armory.

Partners in Community Pride Committee — The purpose of the Partners in Pride Committee is to coordinate residential and commercial projects that serve to beautify and clean up the community with assistance from the Aberdeen community, as well as city, county and state government. The committee meets the first Friday of every other month at 9:00 am and facilitates the annual Spring Residential Cleanup program the last week of April.

Transportation Committee — The committee brings together city, county, and state officials to communicate key issues and projects for the community in the areas of ground, rail, air, rural, and city roads. The committee meets the last Tuesday of every other month at 3:30 pm at the Chamber.
