The Ag Committee’s mission is to establish communications between the business community and the rural agricultural community and increase education and promote interest and understanding of the agricultural community. The committee meets the second Friday of every month at 12:00 Noon and hosts several ag events throughout the year.

The Ambassadors are the public relations arm of the chamber and attend all ribbon cuttings, new business openings, groundbreaking events, and business re-locations. The Ambassadors meet the second Tuesday of every month at 12:00 pm for a monthly meeting and visits, but also meet throughout the month to attend community events.

CART started in the 1980’s when a prominent business closed their doors, leaving hundreds of employees out of work. Local leaders got together to resolve associated issues. Now, CART continues with business people coming together to discuss community and regional issues of importance. The group meets every Thursday morning at 8:30 am at the Chamber of Commerce. It is an informal group and anyone is welcome to attend. Speakers are also scheduled periodically.

The Diplomats strengthen membership by recruiting new members, visiting current members, and implementing retention strategies. The Diplomats meet the second Thursday of every month at 3:30 pm. They visit members then participate in the monthly business after hours mixer. The Diplomats host the chamber’s ABBY Awards and serve as mentors to area young professionals.

Government Affairs
The committee strengthens communication between the community and government entities and serves as the catalyst for forums, panels, town meetings, etc. The committee meets the first Thursday of every month at 12:00pm at the Ramada Convention Center of Aberdeen.

Health & Wellness Committee
The Health & Wellness Committee works to implement projects that partner the business community and healthcare institutions and programs together. The committee meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7:30 am at the chamber.

The purpose of the Military/Veterans Committee is to promote a positive working relationship among the community, employers, and area military and veterans groups. The committee also works to heighten awareness of the military and veteran presence in the Aberdeen area. The committee meets the first Tuesday of each month at 12:00 noon at the National Guard Armory.

Partners in Community Pride
The purpose of the Partners in Pride Committee is to coordinate residential and commercial projects that serve to beautify and clean up the community with assistance from the Aberdeen community, as well as city, county and state government. The committee meets the first Friday of every month at 9:00 am at the Chamber of Commerce.

The purpose of the Transportation Committee is to coordinate city, county and state officials to communicate key issues and projects for the community and region in the areas of ground, rail, air, rural and city roads. The committee meets the last Tuesday of each month at 3:30 pm at the Chamber.

Workforce & Education
The purpose of the Workforce and Education Committee is to implement projects that partner the business community and educational institutions together to foster cooperation and interaction between business and education to ensure community needs are being met. The committee meets bi-monthly at 3:30 pm at the Chamber.
