Chamber to Host Youth Career Expo

The expo will be held in the Barnett Center on the campus of Northern State University on the morning of Thursday, October 5,2017 from 8 a.m. until approximately 11 a.m. This is an opportunity to market careers in your company and industry to a large group of eager young high school students. About 1,400 juniors and seniors from approximately 15 area schools will be attending this event, along with Post-High Planning Days (which runs concurrently). Each of the schools attending the Youth Career Expo will have approximately 25 minutes for their students to circulate through the building and speak with employers. This expo will allow you to link career options with the skills, qualifications, aptitudes and interests of these students as well as promote your business to the future workforce. Please help us make this event as exciting, interactive and informative as possible. There is no registration or booth fee for Chamber members. The committee will arrange businesses by career clusters. We will have half of the Barnett Center as well as an outdoor area for displays. If you're interested in participating, call Lisa Anderson at the Chamber at (605) 2225-2860 or email her at info@aberdeen-chamber.com.
